United Parishes Basketball Club has opened registration for a modified season in conjunction with Ballyhoo (Mt. Rose Ave next to Heritage Hills). They are running a 12 week season on Saturdays from 12:30-6:30 (we would receive a time slot during that window) from Dec 5 - Mar 6. All activities would be held at Ballyhoo on those Saturdays, at this point, there would not be practices during the week. Please register your son or daughter no later than Sunday Nov 8. There will be no fee due at registration. Once we determine the level of interest and configuration of teams, we will determine the registration fee. From basic information we have it would be in the ballpark of last year's fee.
The Spirit Store will be open until midnight on October 7. This is the last time until early spring you can get gym uniforms. Don't forget Christmas gifts too! Orders are planned to be delivered to the school the week of October 26.
Find out more details about our opening plan. Submit questions to TownHall@htcsyork.org RSVP to attend in person or watch for a Zoom link to attend virtually.
Tomorrow at 9 AM there will be a Holy Hour with a children's homily from our Executive Pastor Father Carroll. Please visit the Executive Pastor's corner for the video link.
HTCS executed it's distance learning program starting on March 23rd. Teachers and students continued their use of Google Classroom, Class Dojo, and various reading and math educational sites while adding tools like Zoom. The school community continued their connection through Facebook posts. The daily prayer, pledge, announcements, goals, challenges, and joke is recorded by the principal and distributed to the school community via email. Piano and band instrument lessons have continue as well and physical education challenges, science and art projects. We are very proud of our teachers, students, families and administration on the continued development of our students as some school districts have had challenges with their educational platforms, and some only applying to the state for the ability to conduct online learning after it became evident that schools would be closed for an extended period of time. While it is disappointing we cannot experience our community in person, we are encouraged by the virtual connectivity of our school. Check out what we have been up to!
Please keep HTCS in mind this Christmas. Classroom, specials, and school wishlists are available with items for all budgets on the school site to enhance the experience of our students.
The Spirit Wear store is open until October 21. Gym uniforms are also available. Delivery is expected in early - mid November. Don't wait - place your order today!
A sheet of extracurricular activities was available at Back to School Night with QR codes to sign up your child(ren) for the activities. Some activities have limited space and are on a first come, first served basis. These and more throughout the coming months and year will be posted on the calendar page. Some activity signups close as early as October 20, so don't wait!
Please add your information to the directory. Participation is optional, but helpful as we get to know each other! This will be available to HTCS families only.
Please submit your ideas and cast your votes for a motto and mascot by 8 am Monday July 29th. Also be sure to check back often as ideas are constantly submitted. We will hold a final vote for the top three choices in each category the week of the 29th as well as announce the winners! The first page are ideas for our school mascot. This will be used in the school classrooms & hallways, cafeteria, the gym, eventually integrated into the gym uniforms and spirit wear as well as a lot of fun when Battle of the Buildings comes around! Think of something fun for the kids! Please be sure to ask the kids what they like. The second page is space to help us choose a new school motto. This is not our Vision or Mission statement. This is 3 or 5 words (brief) that represent who Holy Trinity Catholic School is. It will be used in many of the same places as listed for our mascot as well as the school handbook, class folders and book covers as well as Spirit ware and many marketing materials. Thank you for your input and please make sure you remember to vote by the 29th! Even if you are not the most creative, you can still vote and every vote matters! Please do not miss this awesome opportunity for your family to be part of the first chapter of Holy Trinity Catholic School History! The pen is in your hand...!
