Holy Trinity Catholic School believes that parents as the primary educators of their children, and call upon school and parish personnel to assist them in the Christian endeavor. The planned courses of study followed by students in schools of the Diocese are those approved by the Superintendent.
All curriculum policies and procedures are established by the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Harrisburg and are voluntarily consistent with the requirements of the requirements of the Academic Standars of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The Diocesan curriculum can be found here.
In a time where many schools are reducing or eliminating the arts, Holy Trinity Catholic School continues to invest in this vital piece of the development of our students and supported by our extra-curricular activities in addition to the Diocesan curriculm.
Learning support is available through school staff and Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 (LIU12) in accordance with Act 89. Services provided including reading, math, and speech.
Additional information, including grading can be found in the parent handbook
The spring of 2020 brought challenges to many schools when COVID-19 closed their buildings. HTCS quickly responded by shifting to distance learning by continuing to use tools like Google Classrom, Class Dojo and existing reading and math sites and adding tools like Zoom to continue the learning process. Instrumental music lessons were continued using Zoom so our young musicans continued their development. Art projects, journaling and physical education and service (at home) challenges were allowing students to provide outlets for expression and appreciation.

Being entrusted with your child(ren) is a responsibility we take very seriously. Over the years improvements have been made to the school and church campus to include additional cameras and improved lighting. Areas used by the students are secured and the school has policies and procedures in place in case of fire, shelter in place, and evacuation. Our location provides the additional benefit of having the York City Police within two blocks of the school and the York City School District Police Department across the street.
